I was born in Arendal in southern Norway in 1981. I remained in my nautical hometown throughout childhood.
I moved to Wales in 1998 for my I.B. at the United World College of the Atlantic, outside of Cardiff. I spent two eventful years with my international classmates in the halls of St. Donat's Castle, on the brink of the Bristol Channel.
Thereafter, in the fall of 2000, I embarked upon my undergraduate studies at Harvard College. I majored in economics, but also completed extensive course work in experimental psychology. I attained my A.B. in 2004, after four fun years in New England.
In the fall of 2004, I moved to the Midwest for my Ph.D. in Managerial and Organizational Behavior at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Here I have specialized in the psychology of decision making and judgment.
I expect to graduate in 2009 and to seek employment in academia.
